Podenco Canario The home of Podenco Canario are the seven Canary Islands in the Atlantic off the coast of Africa. There they are used for hunting rabbits. This takes place in the rocky terrain, on the slopes of the extinct volcanoes and in impassable areas. If you travel across the islands you will find signposts that point to the hunting areas. These areas are marked as "Zona de Adiestramiento" or with a black dog silhouette on a white background.
